1, how have you weathered the recession

a, We have tried to keep our prices stable by increasing our efficiency in such things as raw material sourcing  , universal packaging , and innovative products such as “Eagle Solo” (black inner lining black label) a quick drying one coat system which saves you money on painters fees and time the most expensive resource we have and also “Basic” a low cost product (white inner lining grey and white label )suitable for interior recoating

2, What have you done to combat adulteration

a , We developed a unique packaging which involves a colour coded inner lining , and matching label with full information of the product you are buying , for instance our best selling “Supercote” brand comes in a (green inner lining) nylon internal sleeve with a green sticker with product information ,while our “Basic” which is our cheapest product range comes in a (white nylon internal sleeve and a grey and white sticker)

3, how are you handling the challenges of competing with imported paints

a , Each manufacturer makes paint first and fore most for their local environment we make paint in general for our local tropical environment its is therefore formulated to protect as well as beautify and in particular we have brands like “Eaglextra” which is specially formulated to give you protection from the saline sea breeze for external coats. In terms of decorative interior finishes we have “Eagle Satin” which gives a washable  eggshell finish available in any colour

4, how are you coping with infrastructural problems

a, Well we have been around for 30 years and have grown to see these problems as challenges to be surmounted we rely on our extensive distribution network , our phone lines 017941327 and our online presence www.eaglepaintsng.com to ease the burden by providing a transparent platform for the dissemination of information

5, how has the Lagos state government edict on the painting of houses on main roads affected you .

a, Cleanliness is next to Godliness , a pleasant environment has a civilising impact on the populace and of course first impressions count so we are totally in support of this and all other government initiatives . People need to protect the value of their investment or it shall lose its value leading to diminishing returns . We are in this together .

6 what are your plans for the future

We hope to continue in our quest to assist the nations builders to convert houses to homes , offices to destinations , buildings to places , to add some colour to all our life’s . with our full product range which includes architectural enhancers e.g pop paints , emulsions , textured coatings , high gloss enamels , wood finishes and industrial and marine coatings .

7, what are your views on global warming

a, we do what we can to limit our carbon foot print and effect on the enviroment , all vocs are recycled and we have a N200 cashback scheme in place encouraging the return of our containers

8, your community

We offer preferential pricing to all schools and religious establishments that register with us there are various other benefits to be had from registration .

9,what are your colour tips for this year

Orange was definitely the big colour for this year teamed with browns it gave of a contemporary look , for next year who knows may be a  turquoise burgundy or yellow
